IMPORTANT CLUB UPDATE…❤️🖤

We are all super excited to welcome footy back in to our weekends from tomorrow, and what a better way to start than against our neighbours Meadows at home!!!!

We need your understanding and support of the Club during these ever changing times due to COVID-19. At game days we are allowed up to 1000 spectators and we can host up to 90 people inside our Clubrooms, this is a great result and means that we can run our game days very similarly to previous years – with a few adjustments.

It is our responsibility as a Club to ensure that we abide by all rules and legislations and this will help us provide a safe environment for all players, parents, supporters and sponsors, and will give us all the best chance of seeing out this season without the need for further restrictions.

SA Health and SANFL Community Football Practices:

Prior to attending training, games or any other club function: Players, parents, supporters and volunteers must stay home if they are sick, and go home immediately if they become unwell. If unwell with COVID-19 compatible symptoms, people should be tested for COVID-19 and remain in isolation until they receive a result. They can return to the HFC environment once a test is negative and their acute symptoms have resolved. A player/umpire/official member must not join the training or match environment if in the last 14 days they have been unwell or had contact with a known or suspected case of COVID‐19. Symptoms include:
• Cough
• Sore Throat
• Runny Nose
• Shortness of Breath
• Unexplained Loss of Taste and/or Smell
• Fever

What we require on Game Days:

• Maximum room/space numbers must be complied with, as well as maintaining 1.5m apart where possible. Please observe social distancing markings and directions where indicated, including queuing lanes and social distancing markers for the bar and canteen
• Cashless payments are encouraged (gate entry, canteen and bar)
• Following the match, club songs can only be sung on the oval
• Spectators/groups of spectators should be seated or standing 1.5m apart at all times
• Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs to sit in, and to spread around ground as much as possible
• Spectators are not permitted to enter the oval or congregate near team huddles during breaks of play on the oval. Kick and catch will only be permitted at half time in the A Grade and is to occur only inside the 50m arcs

Changerooms:

• Access to changerooms is permitted for each team and umpires, and each of these have an allocated changeroom for their exclusive use.
• Access to changerooms is limited to essential personnel only. This means that anyone whose match day role doesn’t support player preparation or recovery (i.e. parents, spectators, committee members, sponsors) are NOT permitted in the changerooms.
• Showers and wet areas can be accessed if required, with strict cleaning and density limits to be observed.
• Access to treatment rooms for strapping and massage is allowed.
• The following behaviours should be encouraged: Maintain 1.5m from others where possible, arrive dressed to play/umpire where possible, players should utilise personal towels or matting if required to lay or sit on the floor for any reason, “Get In, Play, Get Out” (no loitering post‐match)
• The following is NOT permitted in the change-rooms: No warm‐up or drills to be conducted in changerooms, and Teams/Umpires cannot access a change room until the previous user group has vacated, and cleaning has been undertaken

Players:

• High fives and handshaking are to be avoided
• Mouthguards are not be removed during play
• Avoid spitting or clearing nasal passages on the oval
• When on the interchange bench, players are to sit or stand 1.5m apart
• Hand hygiene to be practiced before and after games and trainings
• Each player must bring or be allocated an individual drink bottle which is clearly labelled.

We will continue to keep you updated if there are changes that will affect the Club.

Looking forward to welcoming all of our players and supporters back to the Club tomorrow. If at any time you have any questions please feel free to contact the Club.
